CLIENT SUPPORT TEAM (VCST)
Ever wonder who keeps our veterinary prac琀椀ce running like a well-oiled
machine? That’s our amazing Veterinary Client Support Team (VCST)!
Whether you phone or visit one of our sites they are the friendly faces and
voices you encounter 昀椀rst in every site, they ensure everything goes as
smoothly as possible. Here Jess, our VCST based at our Bideford branch
talks us through a typical day!
What we do:
Answering Calls: We’re here to answer all your ques琀椀ons and provide the
informa琀椀on you need.
Dispensing Medica琀椀ons: Making sure clients receive the medicines prescribed by the vets promptly and accurately.
Booking Appointments: Whether it’s a rou琀椀ne visit or a same-day emergency, we’ve got you covered.
Scheduling TB Tests: Coordina琀椀ng these important tests is a full 琀椀me job!
Ge琀�ng your tester to the right place, on the right day,with the right paperwork, whilst juggling the unexpected.We aim to make this stressful 琀椀me
as hassle free as possible.
Managing Diaries and Rotas: Keeping everyone’s schedules organised and e昀케cient.
Equipment Prepara琀椀on: Making sure all tools and equipment are ready for use.
Processing Payments: Handling transac琀椀ons
smoothly and accurately.
End-of-Day Tasks
Once our daily tasks are under control, we focus
on preparing for the next day.
Con昀椀rming Appointments: Verifying and con昀椀rming next-day appointments.
No琀椀fying Vets: Informing vets of any schedule
changes.
Restocking and Tidying: Ensuring vets’ cars are
restocked and the o昀케ce is 琀椀dy.
Filing Paperwork: Organising and 昀椀ling necessary
documents.
Upda琀椀ng the Team: Communica琀椀ng ongoing
tasks to ensure a seamless transi琀椀on into the next
day.
Good communica琀椀on is essen琀椀al in our fastpaced role, allowing us to keep everything on
track.
At the end of the day, we ensure everyone knows
the plan for the next day, lock up, and prepare to
do it all again tomorrow!
